Nestled in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the Shropshire hills, Acton Scott Hall is a Grade II* listed Elizabethan mansion. Built in 1580 for the Acton family, it remains their private residence. One of the earliest brick houses in Shropshire, Acton Scott Hall has oak-panelled reception rooms, Jacobean woodwork and friezes, unique fireplaces and a collection of fascinating family heirlooms.

The gardens are home to ancient trees and a walled and secret garden (known as the Rock or Quarry Garden). The house is adjacent to the Acton Scott Historic Working Farm, established by Thomas Acton to demonstrate historic farming techniques.

Usually led by one of the Acton family, private group tours of the house, grounds, and gardens are available to book.
